Voters to decide city and school races, county term limits
Lakewood voters will decide three contested City Council races. Two contested school board battles and a pair of county term limit proposals also are on the Nov. 3 ballot.
Lakewood spending outpaces revenue from lagging economy
The $2 million+ revenue shortfalls over each of the next two years will be covered by money from the city’s savings. Some one-time fixes and a 14-week delay in a pay raise for city staff are planned. But members of the city’s budget panel expressed concern, especially about the 2010 budget forecast.
