Welcome to the Lakewood Edge, published in, about and for Lakewood.

The Edge is not your father’s newspaper: It is different in format as well as content. We will combine content and comment, often in the same report.

We will offer praise and good news. But we will report first-hand about the handful of issues that raise questions and public concern.

Neighborhoods work best when neighbors act responsibly. Cities work best when government is responsive.

We all love our community, its neighborhoods, people, places and its promise. That’s what the Edge is about. We will provide you with news on local government, events and people.

But in the Edge, you also can provide news. We invite you to report about your neighborhood, tell us what your neighborhood organizations are doing to strengthen our city.

Or send us pictures and stories about your kids and their accomplishments, your pets, your garden, your hobbies, your favorite places to hike, fish, jog, ride or smooch.

Let us know about folks who are outstanding in our community, but get little notice.

We want to know what you think. We encourage you to speak your mind and share your opinions.
