Police saw a woman believed to be a prostitute get into a man’s car. When police stopped the car and asked the man what he was doing, he said he picked up the woman because she was hot. When police asked what he meant by that, he said the sun was making her warm. He told police he didn’t think she was a hooker and was talking to his wife on the phone when he picked up the woman. Because of lack of evidence, the man was not issued a summons.

Police were called to a local bar to investigate reported gunshots.  When police arrived, they saw a car leaving the scene and stopped the vehicle. The man inside said he knew nothing about the shots and had no gun, but when police searched the car, they reportedly found a firearm under the seat. The man said he had no idea it was there and denied the weapon was his, but asked police if he could keep it since they found it in his car. The man was issued a summons for firing the gun in public.

7:47 p.m., July 4, 2010, area of Welch Street and West Colfax Avenue:
Police were called to investigate reports that a man was disruptive and verbally abusive to the driver of an RTD bus. The driver said the man wanted to ride for less than the full-fare price and when she told him he could not, he became enraged. The driver told the man to go sit down and not worry about it because she did not want to deal with him. While driving the bus, the woman said the man put a piece of paper in front of her face to show who he was and that he should ride for cheap. The woman said she could not see the road. When arrested, the man told police he was going to sue the department and would share the settlement with them if they let him go.
