LAKEWOOD: Police are seeking two women in suspected of breaking into several vehicles to steal credit cards, which they then try to use.

In one of the most recent incidents credit cards were taken from a vehicle at Hayden Green Mountain Park trailhead near West Alameda Parkway and S. Utah Drive the evening of July 9, police said. 

According to investigators, the victim left her car about 6:30 p.m. and returned about two hours later to find her car had been burglarized and her purse missing along with the credit cards and personal identification inside.

Within 20 minutes of the time the victim left her car, two women entered the King Soopers grocery store at 7984 W. Alameda Ave. and tried to use the stolen credit cards.

Several similar cases in the same area have been reported to Lakewood Police and investigators believe the same two women may be involved in several of them, according to police spokesman Steve Davis.
