Police foundation sets ‘Broken Club’ golf tourney
LAKEWOOD – The Police Department’s Broken Club Classic Golf Tournament, which benefits the families of police who bear financial burdens due to catastrophes, serious illness or death, will tee off Monday, Aug. 17 at Fox Hollow Golf Course.
Registration and range practice, fueled by breakfast burritos, will be from 6:30-7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. A barbecue lunch and an awards ceremony will follow the morning’s round.
Registration for the four-person scramble event is $135 per player and includes breakfast, lunch, green fees, a cart, range balls, pin prizes and other giveaways.
Tournament proceeds go to the Lakewood Police Employee Assistance Foundation.
Sponsorship opportunities also are available, including sponsorships at $100 per hole with a personalized sign and the $200 driving range sponsorship, which also includes signage.
